COVID-19 Response Plan

Our office remains open and our staff are continuing to work normal working hours. Some staff are working remotely and we have the capacity to convert our office to a remote office if the need arises. We therefore do not anticipate any disruption in our services during the pandemic. If this situation changes we will publish an update to this notice accordingly.

The main change to our working arrangements is that we kindly ask that attendance at our office is by appointment only. Please only attend our office if you have a pre-arranged face to face appointment.

At the present time we are limiting face to face contact at our office through the following measures:

  • Booking all clients appointments as Online Appointments or Face to Face Appointments
  • Requesting that you only attend our office in person if you have a pre-arranged face to face appointment
  • Face to face appointments will be limited to circumstances where your solicitor or paralegal have confirmed that your attendance in person is required

Where possible we have converted all conveyancing transactions to the electronic settlement platform PEXA. Our firm was one of the first 50 firms in Australia to join the online settlement platform. We have significant experience in transacting conveyancing matters online. We are therefore well-placed to handle conveyancing matters at this time.

Almost all court matters have been either adjourned or converted to online or telephone court appearances. If you have a court-related matter your solicitor will let you know about the changed arrangements applicable to your matter.

Important information regarding face to face meetings

We ask that you attend our office by yourself or with one (1) other person only.

The chairs in our reception area have been reduced to increase distance between waiting clients. If you would prefer to wait outside our office until the solicitor or paralegal you are meeting with is free, we can call you when it is time to enter our office.

If our reception area reaches the allowed maximum person limit for the space available, we may ask for you to wait outside the office for a short time.

Please only arrive just prior to the start of your appointment.

Please contact our office and arrange to re-schedule your appointment if you are currently feeling unwell with flu like symptoms, such as a temperature, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, fatigue and body aches. If you attend our office whilst feeling unwell, we will politely ask you to leave immediately and phone us to reschedule your appointment.

If you have:

  • arrived from overseas, off a cruise ship, or been in close contact with someone who has recently returned
  • had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient
  • arrived back in Queensland from interstate
  • recently recovered from COVID-19

please do not attend our office for at least two (2) weeks.

If you have visited our office or had any personal contact with a staff member within 14 days of being exposed to a COVID-19 patient, please immediately contact us so that we can escalate our management plan.
