Enduring Powers of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document that enables someone to make personal, health related and financial decisions on your behalf. The powers granted can be conditional, limited or given to different people in different circumstances.

Powers of Attorney are created and regulated under the Powers of Attorney Act 1998. The legislation also allows the creation of an Advance Health Directive: a document specifying your wishes in relation to medical treatment options in the event that you cannot make or communicate such decisions yourself.
